EMERGENCY NEUROLOGICAL LIFE SUPPORT CERTIFICATION COURSE (MAY 2, 2016)

Attention to all nurses, ER & ICU physicians, faculties and instructors from various hospitals/institutions! CCNAPI will be hosting "Emergency Neurological Life Support" on May 2, 2016 from 8am to 5pm at the Aventura Hall, Philippine Heart Center.

This is an eight-hour program designed to help healthcare professionals improve patient care and outcomes during the critical first hours of a patient’s neurological emergency. A pre-course self-study program is required for the participants prior to engaging in the face-to-face lecture with the ENLS facilitator. Neurologic emergencies such as coma, stroke, intracerebral hemorrhage, ischemic stroke, status epilipticus among others are time-sensitive situations in which effective therapy may lessen or completely reverse a potentially catastrophic insult to the central nervous system. Early Recognition and intervention in neurologic emergencies can mean the difference between life and death; therefore, healthcare providers must be trained to promptly provide for the appropriate treatment regimen.
