Acute Stroke Nursing Course (ASNC) – Purely Online
This program will mainly reflect the essentials and critical aspects of nursing care in a client who is suffering from a cerebrovascular accident (CVA), also commonly known as a brain attack or stroke. Stroke is the 2nd leading cause of death and the leading cause of disability worldwide. This 4-day program will tackle the management from pre-hospital setting up to rehabilitation. In addition, this activity will help the nurse attendees to develop critical assessment skills and a deeper understanding of the disease management and nursing care needed during the acute phase of CVA. Moreover, this training will provide critical care nurses with date guidelines that are based on the American Stroke Association, Stroke Society of the Philippines, and the American Neurovascular Care Core Curriculum.
METHODOLOGY: This program is synchronous learning using Zoom and Google applications.
