Acute Stroke Nursing Course (ASNC) – Online

Course Description

This 2.5-day / 20-hour online training program is designed to equip nurses with the essential knowledge, skills, and competencies in providing evidence-based and patient-centered care to individuals experiencing acute stroke. The course highlights the critical role of nurses across the stroke care continuum—from early recognition and assessment, through acute intervention and complication management, to post-acute recovery and family support.

Through a combination of lectures, interactive workshops, and case-based learning, participants will gain practical insights into timely decision-making, effective use of stroke assessment tools, and holistic approaches to care that enhance patient outcomes. The program also emphasizes the nurse’s leadership role in stroke systems of care, advocacy for patients and families, and commitment to professional excellence.
